Analysis, part 5 - Gold Piping

DS9, 6x26 "Tears of the Prophets"
In the place of neckline yoke trim seen on the standard duty uniforms and the front zipper trim seen on the "captain jacket" and formal jackets, there was, instead, ⅛" metallic gold braided piping along the entire length of the neckline and front.

DS9, 7x1 "Image in the Sand"

The ⅛" metallic gold braided piping, at a glance, appeared to be solid gold, but, upon closer inspection, one can observe that it actually had a tiny bit of black twisted into it:

The "gold" piping also served the important function of hiding the zipper, which appeared to typically be 16" long and run from the waist (behind the belt "buckle") to the bottom of the yoke.

As mentioned previously, the admiral jacket's body panels separated in the front at the wearer's waistline, in the same manner as the late TNG admiral jacket, and unlike the other jackets of the DS9/NEM era ("captain jacket" and formal jacket).
