Misc. Observations and Errors, part 7

VOY, 6x10 "Pathfinder"
Another oddity was that the first time we saw Admiral Paris, he was a 4-star Admiral:

VOY, 7x6 "Inside Man"
But the time we saw him, he was a 3-star Admiral:

Then he was a 4-star Admiral again:

VOY, 7x20 "Author, Author"
VOY, 7x25 "Endgame"

This reminds me of the episode of Stargate: SG-1 in which The Powers That Be accidentally put Major General O'Neill in a Brigadier General's uniform (i.e. they gave a 2-star General only 1 star):

Of course, this inconsistency shouldn't come as much of a surprise, since this is the show that got both Tom Paris' and Tuvok's rank incorrect the entire first season, not to mention characters' ranks and uniform styles incorrect during flashback and time-travel episodes.

Heck, in the episode "Pathfinder," they even managed to put a communicator on the wrong side of Not Nicholas Locarno then correct it in the next shot while simultaneously forgetting Admiral Paris' rank!

VOY, 6x10 "Pathfinder"

Let's face it; continuity and consistency wasn't exactly Voyager's strength zone, and, unfortunately, that seemed to include the uniforms, costumes, and ranks.
